Distribution of Text Books and Gifts
WAHO this year again decided to distribute free text books to slums children and in the month of April before starting the new session the students were given free text books by the President Surinder Pal Kaur. The society also distributed free gifts to crèche children
Independence Day
The slums children at WAHO every year celebrate Independence Day in which the students are get trained by the staff. On the eve of Independence Day the students performed a well- disciplined and enjoy full prgoramme at the activity centre of WAHO in Tilak Nagar, Sangam Vihar. The student were given toys and gifts on this day.
Nutrition Programme
The crèche children at WAHO ‘get the nutrition by the society for which the members of the organization contributed every month in a definite proportion to assist these children who are malnourished. The nutrition programme was started since its inception.
Christmas Day
The slums children at WAHO celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ with their teachers and some members of the organization. One of the children among them became the Santa Claus who distributed gift items to all. A cultural programme was also organized which was being hosted by the President of the society Mrs. Surinder Pal Kaur.
Awareness Programme
WAHO this year organized an awareness programme for the slum women in Tilak Nagar, Sangam Vihar Madan Pur Khader. It was one day awareness programme in which the aim was to aware these women about their health and hygiene, sanitation, AIDS and TB. Further these women were given training on cooking healthy and hygienic food for their children in a minimum but so that the children would not be malnourished due to lack of essential nutrients in their diets.

Republic Day
The children at WAHO celebrated the Republic Day at the activity center in Tilak Nagar. The students were given training by the staff and it was presented among governing body members, community people and the staff. The children were enthusiastic and keen to learn art and dance to develop their skills. Mrs. Surinder Kaur gave a brief note about the organization and the work done by them till date and gave their well wishers vote of thanks for their kind contribution for these underprivileged children.
TB Awareness Programme
WAHO organized a TB awareness programme at their activity centre for slums people so that they could aware themselves about TB and its impact. At the end of programme various kind of IEC materials were distributed among the targeted beneficiaries so that the awareness could reach to large section of people.
